History
The Cologne Spring Meetings have taken place annually since the end of the 1960’s. Initially organised only from the Institute for Genetics, the Spring Meetings have gained interdisciplinarity in recent years. Cologne Spring Meetings have an unusual format: we invite outstanding speakers, but require no registration formalities or fees of any kind. Being completely open, the meetings are usually attended by very large audiences, including younger scientists from all over Europe. Invited talks have a duration of 35-45 minutes. You can find programs of some past events at http://www.genetik.uni-koeln.de/meetings/spring.html.
